Frozen Waterfall Trekking (January only)

A visit to a frozen waterfall surrounded by snow and icicles.

 

We prepared this tour especially for those who can only visit Hida-Osaka before the regular frozen waterfall tour starts in February.

​

The waterfall we visit on this tour is Sennindaki Falls of which hight is 20 meters.  The surroundings are all covered by snow and you will see a lot of icicles on the way.  The walking distance is 1 km (0.6 miles) which is shorter than the regular tour, making the tour suitable for the participants who are not used to snow activities, as well.

 

Participants will meet and get dressed for the tour at our office and get in our car to go to the trail head.  It takes 1 to 1.5 hours to the trail head depending on the road condition, but our guide will explain about the nature and the lives in Hida-Osaka, and  you can also enjoy the scenary along the way.​

<Where to meet>

Please take a bus operated by Nohi bus or JR train to Hida-Osaka.   Our guide will meet you at Osaka-cho bus stop or JR Hida-Osaka station.

<Time Table>

09:30 AM   Meet the guide at bus stop / train station

10:00 AM    Check the gear at our office

                   and leave for the trail head

11:30 AM    Arrive at the trail head and start trekking

12:30 AM    Arrive at the frozen waterfall site

                   Enjoy hot drink and snow

01:00 PM    Leave the site

01:30 PM    Return to the trail head / lunch

03:30 PM    Arrive in Hida-Osaka town.

                    Finish the tour.

<What to bring>

- Warm clothes (Fleece or light down jackets are recommended).

- Knitted cap, sunglasses, and drink.

***Rain jacket and coat, snow boots, and snowshoes are available for free. Sizes are limited. 216WORKS will ask your size at the time of reservation.

<Price>

- JPY 16,500 per person, including tax

- Bread and soup lunch set is optionally available for additional JPY 1,100 per person

<Payment method>

Cash or credit card on the day of the tour at the time of sign-up.

<Booking>

- Please read through "Winter requirement PDF" to make sure you are eligible for the tour. 

- Please make a reservation at least 3 days before the tour date.

- Please book via the contact form indicating your name and your contact info. Please also make sure to indicate the desired tour name and the tour date.

<Cancellation>

- No cancellation fee is applied until 2 days before the tour date.
- 50 % of the tour price will be charged to participants who cancel their tour between 0:00 AM and 5:00 PM on the day before the tour date.
- The full fee will be charged to participants who cancel their tour after 5:00 PM on the day before the tour date.
